農(nóng)村環(huán)境與社會研究中心（CRESS）是中國社會科學(xué)院社會學(xué)研究所于2007年在福特基金會的資助下建立起來的。它是研究農(nóng)村環(huán)境與社會問題的機(jī)構(gòu)。中心不僅包括社會學(xué)和環(huán)境科學(xué)背景的專職研究人員，還有多年來研究農(nóng)村發(fā)展的學(xué)者。此外，中心還將以開放的形式邀請兼職研究人員。
CRESS was established in 2007 as a Centre in the Institute of Sociology with funding from the Ford Foundation. CRESS aims to protect the interests of vulnerable rural residents through site-based projects and policy recommendations. CRESS have not only full-time scholars in the field of sociology and environmental sciences, but also senior researcher studying rural development. Moreover, CRESS is open for part-time researchers on relative fields.
